A drum set, an electric guitar or bass – what better way to be discovered then as an already stinking rich and famous rock star with little to no music talent, but big dreams?
And aren't big dreams what it's all about anyway? You can take your little bit of acting talent, a smidgeon of music talent, and a whole lot of hope much further than you might expect. Many don't believe in dreams, although they believe in a magical all powerful being that created the earth in seven days quite easily. Music talent is the higher power, and that is why people respond to it so strongly.
John Lennon, Johnny Rotten, John Denver, they all stood in solidarity on one crucial point, and that is that music talent is all subjective. Often John Denver would say, "John Lennon's got way more music talent than me, but he can't play "Thank God I'm a Country Boy" on the Banjo". To this Johnny Rotten replied "uuuuuuuaahhh!!!!!"
