All kids talent is not what it's cracked up to be? It's not even what it used to be. And they sure don't make it like they used to. There's so much natural kids talent these days. Back in the early nineteen hundreds, kids talent was measured in two ways; Can they play the piano? And can they ride a bicycle?
Today the ranks of kids talent are rife with mini-geniuses and prodigies, enough so that most of us grown-ups are systematically put to shame. No one ever taught us to play the violin, recite the periodic table backwards, and pole vault eighteen feet! Kids talent in our day was either holding your breath under water for a really long time or air guitarring to ABBA records.
Although by the looks of it it may in fact be quite possible to make it to the finals on American Idol by air guitarring ABBA, most kids talent today is far beyond this level of performance. There are now eleven year olds with such incredible professionalism and training that their kids talent is easily recognizable as second to none.
